Join us for our inaugural MRI safety day at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL. This event is approved for 6 CME/CE credits by the AMA and ASRT.
The following world-renowned MRI safety experts will share their knowledge:
This program will review fundamental magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI, safety procedures and meets the annual training recommendations from the American College of Radiology for Level 2 MR personnel. Importantly, MRI facilities must now comply with the revised requirements for diagnostic imaging from the Joint Commission and document that MRI technologists participate in ongoing education that includes annual training on safe MRI practices in the MRI environment. Accordingly, the content presented will cover each important MRI safety topic specified by TJC, as well as many additional subjects that will greatly expand the knowledge-base of health care professionals and is especially suited for radiographers, MRI technologists, radiologists, imaging nurses, researchers, MRI physicists, MRI directors and managers.
After registering, you will receive an email to confirm your registration and be given hotel information. The registration fee includes continental breakfast, snacks, lunch and a closing photo session with our guest speakers (wine and cheese will be served).
Registration is limited to 200 attendees. We highly recommend advance purchase. On-site registration runs from 7 -8 a.m. the day of the event.
All 200 registrants will receive a MRIsafety “swag bag” containing great giveaways that will be kept and used. These include: MRIsafety T-shirt, pen (unsafe), lanyard and a "Danger. This Magnet is Always On!" sign.
In addition, the first 100 registrants will receive a free copy of The Reference Manual for Magnetic Resonance Safety, Implants and Devices: 2017 Edition by Frank Shellock, PhD.
