Learning Objectives:

  • Broaden the adoption of interprofessional education and practice within existing healthcare providers and institutions.
  • Discuss contemporary models of teaching and practicing interprofessionally.
  • Recognize challenges in interprofessional practice and teaching, and develop methods to overcome.

Target Audience:

Physicians, pharmacists, nurses, administrators, and other healthcare professionals and students committed to interprofessional practice and education.

Student Track:

Students in the healthcare professions are encouraged to participate in the Student Track. This is a series of case studies approached by an interprofessional student group with faculty mentorship. Students will devise a management/treatment approach for a specific patient, prepare a presentation to the larger conference in the afternoon, gain feedback from the audience, and be eligible to receive prizes from the Consortium at the conclusion fo the conference.
